Mosaico Mexican Folk Ensemble opens arms to high-school age students in our community and invites them to join our Summer Cultural Program. As part of our Community Involvement Initiative, Mosaico reaches out to local youth and school-based folklorico community groups to engage them in a professional Mexican folkloric dance curriculum and enhance their overall folklórico experience.

Curriculum
• Proper warm-up technique
• Adequate stretching routine to match the repertoire being learned
• Focus on balance, posture, and strength
• Strong technical foundation on the basic steps of repertoire being learned
• Enhancement of self projection and confidence on dance floor
• Improved dance technique to match proper traditional dance styles
• Learning of Mexican regional dances and their symbolic and historical content

Mosaico will enroll participants in the same classes as our Performing Company. This atmosphere will positively challenge our young dancers and allow them to experience an accelerated learning path. The constant professional interaction with the artistic director, qualified instructors, and high-level performers, will enhance this unique cultural exchange.
