We are very excited to introduce our folklórico dance company, Mosaico Mexican Folk Ensemble, operating in the Los Angeles and Orange Counties in Southern California . Our objective herein is to reach out to our surrounding community and schools to build lasting partnerships.

Mosaico Mexican Folk Ensemble was founded by the renowned maestro de folklorico, Emilio Rivas, and by Ballet Folklorico de UC Irvine alumni. Emilio Rivas brings extensive knowledge of Mexican folklore and outstanding credentials to give Mosaico a firm foundation to attain a prominent reputation. Mr. Rivas has remarkable recognition as an artistic choreographer beginning with a 10-year tenure with Ballet Folklorico de la Universidad de Guadalajara and by partaking in numerous projects as director and artistic choreographer in various universities, colleges, and cultural venues.

In its seven years of existence, Mosaico Mexican Folk Ensemble has participated in numerous events including El Grito for Mexican Independence Day in Los Angeles; Univision's Despierta America; Danzantes Unidos Festival in San Diego; "El Rebozo...Una Gema" at the Santa Ana Performing Arts and Events Center; International Fair in Norwalk; Cinco de Mayo festivities at Monterrey Park amongst many other community events and celebrations. The company is looking for opportunities to better serve and work with the community in areas of recruitment, performances, and programming (i.e. workshops/classes).
